About Gould
Gould History
Donald Gould formed Gould Asset Management LLC in 1999 following a distinguished career with Franklin Templeton Investments, and before that, the Huntington Funds, which he founded.
In 2002 the company introduced individually managed accounts, the core of its business today. Gould currently manages more than $500 million for more than 250 clients located in California, across the US, and abroad. The Gould team, numbering nine full-time staff and three consultants, includes six portfolio management professionals.
Gould is headquartered in Claremont, California, located 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.
Known as the home of five highly regarded private undergraduate colleges and two independent graduate universities (The Claremont Colleges), the town’s youthful yet intellectually rigorous environment contributes to Gould’s corporate culture.
Gould’s connections with The Claremont Colleges run deep. Founder Don Gould is a Pomona College graduate, a Trustee of Pitzer College, and has taught portfolio management courses at Claremont McKenna College and Claremont Graduate University. A number of members of the Gould team are graduates of The Claremont Colleges. Gould professionals frequently collaborate with faculty and students of the colleges on research in the areas of finance and investments.
