Stanley Haar

Investment Consultant

Stanley Haar provides investment advisory services for Gould’s Global Growth & Resources and Master Limited Partnerships strategies.

Stanley has over 30 years of commodity and financial market experience in both domestic and international locales. In the early 1980s, he worked as a commodities broker and trader for Prudential-Bache and Shearson/American Express, managing commercial accounts from Latin America and the Middle East. He served as a director of Continental Grain Company in Brazil, responsible for trading, hedging and risk management. In 1997, Stanley worked with Don Gould at Franklin Templeton Investments, where he assisted in the development of Bradesco Templeton Asset Management, a Brazilian joint venture, and the launch of two Luxembourg-based offshore funds. From 2002 to 2005, Stanley was a commodity broker and registered representative with the private client group of Citigroup Smith Barney. In 2005, Stanley founded Haar Capital Management LLC, which he operated until 2015.

Stanley holds a BA in economics and international studies, summa cum laude, from The American University. He also has a JD from the Stanford Law School, an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Management, and an MA from Stanford’s Food Research Institute, with a concentration in futures markets and international trade. To relax, Stanley enjoys listening to jazz, international travel and brushing up on his Portuguese, Spanish and Hebrew.
